Birds Eye, one of Pinnacle Foods' frozen food brands, is set to launch Mashtags. Wait, excuse me, "Mas#tags".
The potato-shaped snacks will have a similar taste to Birds Eyes' potato waffles but come in various shapes associated with social media platforms like Twitter and Instagram. For those living in the UK, where this new product will hit shelves, expect to get a bag full of frozen #, @, *, <3, and :) shapes.
"Social media is all about conversation and we’re confident Mashtags will resonate across various groups of people," said Pete Johnson, senior brand manager at Birds Eye, told Pocket-lint.
Starting March, Mashtags will be available for £1.75 to UK residents.
