Ok, we don’t have an Olive Garden here in Alaska (yet) they are building one and I heard it will be done this month!  Anyway, everytime I see the commercial, I want this too! I’m thinking it has; tomato soup w/tomato chunks, “Florentine” indicates that there is spinach in it, and of course chicken, sliced potatoes, looks like thinly shredded carrots, probably onions, and it looks like cream of some kind, because it’s creamy looking, not like true tomato soup.  Progresso has a chunky one that it reminds me of.  I’m going to try to recreate it!

Omg I got sooooooooo hungry watching

    CANT WAIT!!!

    • MsMel608

Mamagohard, did you make this soup on Moday?    If so, how was it?  How does it compare to OG’s version?  I no longer have tranportation & can’t get to OG so have not tried the soup yet; but, like others, it looks so good on the commercial..

I made the recipe on the Internet today and found that the mozzarella made it very sticky and also the cream cheese really was not needed. I should have stopped with the recipe after adding the spinach. I cannot imagine what will it be light after the soup cools down as I have plenty left over. Also it took more than an hour for the sliced potatoes to be on the soft side at a simmer. This recipe needs some tweaking.
